- Ad cookies (Meta and OpenAI pixels) only with your consent where the law requires it
- We don't sell your personal information
Overview
This policy explains how Gitzie ("we", "us") collects and uses your personal information when you visit gitzie.com, create an account or place an order.
Information we collect
- Order details: your name, email address, phone number (optional unless you choose express shipping), shipping and billing address, the items you order and any note you add.
- Your design: the text, options and photos you add to personalize a product, and the preview image we generate.
- Account: if you create one, your name, email, a securely hashed password, saved addresses and your order history.
- Support requests: what you write to us, photos you attach, and our replies.
- Cart: items in your cart are kept in your browser's local storage on your device — not on our servers — until you place an order.
- Technical data: our servers log your IP address, browser and pages requested for security and troubleshooting. Our site runs behind Cloudflare, which tells us the country you're browsing from so we know whether to ask for cookie consent.
- Advertising data: if ad cookies are allowed (see below), the pages you view and actions like adding to cart or purchasing.
We don't ask for or store your card number. Payments are processed by Stripe, which receives your card details directly.
How we use it
- To make, ship and support your order, and to send order and shipping emails
- To run your account and answer your support requests
- To send news and offers — only if you tick the box at checkout or in your account, or sign up with the email form on our site; you can unsubscribe at any time
- To measure and improve our Facebook, Instagram and ChatGPT ads (see "Cookies & advertising")
- To keep the site secure, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations
We don't sell your personal information.
Your photos
Photos you upload are used only to produce your order, the preview and, when you attach them, your support request. Please upload only photos you have the right to use.
Retention & security
We keep order information for as long as needed to fulfil the order, handle replacements, and meet legal or accounting requirements, then delete it. Uploaded photos that are not part of an order or a support request may be removed at any time. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete your account.
Pages are served over HTTPS, passwords are stored only as secure hashes, and access to order data is limited to our staff.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to its use for marketing, by emailing [email protected]. You can withdraw consent for ad cookies at any time with Cookie settings.
If you live in the EU/EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we rely on: performing our contract with you (orders, account, support), our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, improving the store), your consent (ad cookies, marketing emails) and legal obligations (tax and accounting records). You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
If you live in California or another US state with a privacy law, you have the right to know, correct and delete your information and to opt out of "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising — which is what the Meta and OpenAI pixels do. To opt out, use Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information (linked at the bottom of every page), turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, or email us; we don't discriminate against you for using these rights.
Children
Our store is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
